Abri des Granges du Col de la Cochette

The place

Spartan shelter at 1325 m near the Col de la Cochette, in the forest in the Bauges (Savoie). Small watertight hut with an earth floor (a few fallen leaves), only 2 benches inside. Useful in an emergency to shelter from rain, a storm, etc., if you can't reach the Refuge du Creux de Lachat or if it's closed. Better to continue on to the Refuge du Creux de Lachat, 15 minutes away.
