The place

Former barn restored by the Parc naturel régional du Vercors at 1350 m, to serve as a stopover for hikers and nature lovers. Not a refuge as such — equipment limited to a table and two benches. Access via the forest track from Engins, marked GR 9, or via the more scenic Fournel trail. Fontaine de Sornin about 1h30 from Engins via the GR 9.
