Abri de la Vaysse

The place

Small rustic shelter at 1308 m in Saint-Chély-d'Aubrac (Aveyron), on the edge of the Tourbière biological reserve. Useful in bad weather. From the hamlet of Aubrac, take the GR6A heading south: the path descends, crosses a small bridge, continues descending gently leaving the ruins of a mill on the right. The path crosses a stream on a bridge then climbs due south. Well-marked path up to the Croix de la Vaysse, then keep climbing to find the shelter on the left at a junction.
