The place
Unstaffed shelter at 700 m at the Col de la Schleif, in the central Vosges massif. Minimal setup with tables and benches, no sleeping arrangements. Very popular picnic spot on weekends, as it is accessible by car. A drinking water spring 10 m from the shelter (can dry up in summer). Located on the GR53.
Getting there
Access by car from Dabo. If the spring is dry, follow the GR53 toward Wangenbourg-Engenthal to find a stream 5 min away.
