Abri de la Pousterle

The place

Small makeshift shelter at 851 m at the Col de la Pousterle, on the Montagne des Ventes (3.7 km from Dieulefit, Drôme). You can barely stand up if you're 1m70; no insulation between the corrugated metal roof and the stone walls. Bare floor (earth and leaves), no door, window, table, bench, dishes or tools — just a few planks on the ground serving as bench and bed. About 4 places sleeping, some on the floor. An old stove is present but the chimney is very makeshift, with no real flue to vent smoke. Emergency shelter only.
