The place

Lower shelter at 1760 m in the Couserans (Ariège, Pyrenees). A simple stone wall built against a rock, offering shelter for 2 people. Sheet-metal roof, stone walls, no possibility of heating. Not to be confused with the upper Cabane de la Lacarde (2003 m), recently renovated.
