The place

Shelter at 1015 m in the Vercors (Coulmes), at the heart of a hamlet of 4-5 ruined houses, apparently one of the first settlement sites in the Coulmes area (late Middle Ages). 10 comfortable places on the floor upstairs, plus 3 mattresses (one double and one single). Two large tables and 4 benches inside, plus 2 tables with benches outside. Stove, saw for cutting wood, water tank (with water in it). Beautiful view of the central Vercors, especially Saint-Julien and Saint-Martin-en-Vercors. Access via the Presles-Rencurel road (if open): park just below the Col de Pré Lang at the place called "la Siva," then descend 15 min to the shelter via 4x4 tracks; a GR trail is nearby.
