The place

A large stone building with an immense room with a very high ceiling, hard to heat. Sleeping is done in the loft above. Mind the roof height, which is fairly low for tall people (for reference, the small window seen "on the second floor" in the photo is at ground level). A shed can hold firewood in winter. Spring near the sheepfold (10 min away). Leaving the car at Les Clots, to the northwest, there's a large car park (Les Clovettes). Half an hour's walk on well-marked trails. The hut is a bit hidden in the forest, on the right, right against the mountainside. Vercors Regional Park / ONF (French forestry office).
