The place
Spacious shelter recently rebuilt on the foundations of the former chalet, at 1025 m in the Hautes-Vosges. Easy 1 km access, gentle elevation. Very long table and benches inside, covered table outside. No fireplace or stove — cold in winter. Snow shovel provided on site. Located at the crossroads of cross-country ski trails (winter) and hiking trails (summer). Access from the Col de Grosse Pierre via the "La Gesse" trail to the right of the pass (red triangle then red circle markers).

Situé en forêt domaniale, entre Gérardmer et La Bresse (massif des Vosges).
