Abri de la citerne de Lachamp
The place
for a quick bite sheltered from bad weather - 20 m2 covered shelter with access to the old cistern - the cistern is separated from the shelter by a wall with a window, the shelter is dry - a wooden bench along the east wall - open to the south - fountain at the crossroads 40m to the north-east marked "uncontrolled water". According to a village resident the water is drinkable, it's the same water that supplies the houses, marked "uncontrolled" for legal reasons. The fountain was flowing abundantly when I passed through in mid-May 2023. Caution in summer: a notice at the town hall, dated summer 2022, states that the village was supplied by water tanker during summer 2022 due to water shortages. - opposite the church - GRP "Tour de la Margeride" 5km to the north-east - GR 670 "chemin Urbain V" 12km to the south Apparently open to the public
