The place

Shelter at 1509 m in the Vercors massif (Isère). Access via the Gobert trail (white-red waymarking) above the refuge Roybon: after a 10-minute walk, just before a footbridge at the combe du Lurbeillet, follow a path to the right leading quickly to the shelter. Layout: a locked room (probably reserved for the local shepherd) and a small open section used by the owner for storage. Fountain nearby, open view of the Roc Cornafion and the southern edge of the Cornafion plateau. In front of the entrance: table and two benches. As an emergency shelter, 1 or even 2 people can sleep there. Per recent visits: cabin still present but not very welcoming, the first open section cluttered with equipment and the second section locked.
