The place

Small shelter at 1056 m in the Jura (Doubs, Haut-Doubs), one of the shelters along the smuggling trails that preserve the memory of the huts built by customs officers to ease their patrols along the ridges of the Haut-Doubs. Right nearby, the Halte des Seignes aux Gras (1060 m), a public shelter created as part of the Halte project for bivouacking along the Grande Traversée du Jura: 4 spots upstairs and 2 on the ground floor.
