Abri de Chevenne

The place

A basic shelter at 1217 m on the GR 5, in the Chevenne chalets area (Chablais, Haute-Savoie), reachable by car from La Chapelle-d'Abondance. A simple roof with no walls, concrete floor, and a waste collection point. Ideal for bivouacking out of the rain before starting a stage — particularly for climbing the Cornettes de Bise. Water available a little further up the GR 5's gravel track.
