The place

Stone and masonry shelter, watertight roof, a few draughts (gaps in the door and shutters). Layout: fireplace corner, no furniture left (after June 2016). No dry firewood stored inside, but dead wood nearby, pipe bringing water from a spring upstream (checked 06/2020, 05/2021, 05-10/2022, 04-10/2023) Beware of fire risk: sensitive protected natural area. Please respect the cleanliness of the site. Right on the edge of the well-marked hiking trail (Mare à Mare Nord / Île-Rousse to Corte trail) which, starting from the citadel of Corte heading west, follows the left bank of the Tavignanu river upstream (toward A Sega). The shelter is clearly visible in a small clearing at the point where you ford the Antia stream (or Anchja; possible water point, but sometimes dry in summer), about 45 min walk from Corte.
