3 Зимовье ("3rd Winter Shelter") in the Republic of Buryatia, Tunka/Khoytogol sector (Eastern Sayan, on the Mongolian border, Russia), at 1564 m altitude, on the Eastern Sayan slope. Part of a continuous Buryatia Sayan Russia cluster (batches 343-386, 4 entries). A traditional zimovje used by fishermen/trappers (Eastern Sayan range on the Mongolian border, plus the 200 km-long Tunka Valley bordered by the Sayans to the north and Khamar-Daban to the south, plus Buddhist Buryats at Ivolginsky Datsan, 30 monasteries in Russia, plus the Arshan hydrothermal hot springs, plus the Mongol Buryat heritage - 460,000 people, Buryat language, Gelugpa Tibetan Buddhism since the 17th century, plus the heritage of the Soyot people (a Turkic-Mongol people, 3,000 people, the last such tribe in Russia, Soyot language recognized by UNESCO), plus Buryatia's reindeer herders, the last such population in southern Russia).
