The place
15 Mile Hut in Alpine National Park, Marysville/Warburton area (Central Highlands, Victoria, Australia), at 552 m elevation, southern foothills of the Victorian Alps. Continuous Alpine AU cluster (batches 231-312). Historic cattlemen/bushrangers cabin (named for being 15 miles = 24 km from a reference point), in an area of Eucalyptus regnans mountain ash (the world's tallest flowering tree, ~100 m, the world's second-tallest tree after Sequoia sempervirens). Devastated by the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires (173 deaths in VIC).
