On the Trails of the GR® 5: From St-Etienne-de-Tinée to Roya The GR® 5 route, a famous long-distance hiking trail, begins its journey from the charming medieval village of St-Etienne-de-Tinée. Following the peaceful course of the Tinée river, the path then winds through picturesque landscapes, gradually climbing towards the Auron ski resort. However, it takes an enchanting detour through the forest, bypassing the resort directly, to finally reach the green Col du Blainon. The adventure continues towards the hamlet of Roya, reached after crossing Clot Giordan, marking a key stage of this journey through mountains and valleys.
