Rockenbauer Pál Dél-dunántúli Kéktúra (Szekszárd - Írott-kő)
The place
The Rockenbauer Pál Memorial Hike is a trek named in memory of the legendary television director, following the route of the National Blue Trail (OKT). The OKT is Hungary's best-known long-distance hiking route: over 1,180 km, it runs the length of the country from the south (Írottkő, Kőszeg) to the Danube Bend (Dobogókő). The Rockenbauer Pál Memorial Hike usually designates a longer stretch of the OKT between Orfű and Dobogókő. It runs through hilly, wooded country, with an easy difficulty level but long daily stages.
Why go
The Mecsek hills and their caves. The forests of the Vértes range. Viewpoints over the Danube Bend from Dobogókő. Hungarian villages and wine cellars.
