A bit of history

Like the GR531, this connecting trail in the Vosges was waymarked in the 1980s by the FFRP to complete the network of long-distance hiking routes in the Vosges massif.

Getting there

Épinal: regional train (TER) station (1h from Nancy). Luxeuil-les-Bains: bus from Vesoul.

Recommended gear

Lightweight waterproof hiking boots. Rain gear.

Best season

April to November. Risk of snow at higher elevations from November to March.
