A bit of history
Waymarked by the FFRP as part of Brittany's grande randonnée network, this route showcases the often overlooked inland Brittany, in contrast to the popular coastal circuits. It follows old trading paths that once linked fishing ports to inland markets.
Getting there
Douarnenez: bus from Quimper (30 min), Quimper TGV station (Paris, 4h). Redon: SNCF station (from Rennes, 45 min).
Recommended gear
Waterproof footwear (Brittany means frequent rain). Waterproof clothing. Poles useful on the moorland.
Best season
May to October. Rain is possible year-round. Spring and autumn recommended. June–July for long days.
