Fründenhütte: an unforgettable alpine experience

Fründenhütte, 1,000 m above Oeschinensee. This refuge is dedicated to experienced hikers and mountaineers, anchored in a landscape of rock and ice. Once surrounded by the Fründengletscher, the tongue of the latter now reaches just behind the hut, forming a seductive landscape of small moraine lakes. On the direct access path to the hut, there are some partially exposed passages. The "Fründschnuer" at the end of the Oeschinensee is particularly attractive for those with a confident gait and no fear of heights.
