The Salbithütte, characterized by tapering ridges and impressive pillars, breccias, overhangs and slab walls, is set amidst the climbing-perfect granite mountains surrounding the Salbitschijen. This mountaineering and hiking hut, with its round dining room, is the starting point for the demanding 'Fünf-Hütten-Panoramaweg' scenic route in the Göschenertal. In addition, the Salbitbrücke, a 90-meter-long alpine bridge and 45-meter-high iron ladder (part of a via ferrata), connects to the Voralphütte of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC).
