Added to the SAC hut repertoire in summer 2018, this bivouac sits majestically at the foot of the Latelhorn, northeast of the Antronapasses. Just 200 metres above the summit of the pass, its position is both imposing and easy to spot.

In fact, Cresta-Biwak is more than just a bivouac: it's the former Mischabeljoch bivouac that's been repurposed. Its charm and ideal location make it an ideal choice for adventurers and those in search of tranquillity.

The real beauty of the Cresta-Biwak is its proximity to the Cresta di Saas, a radiant traverse of the border ridge between Italy and Switzerland. This run is a challenge for the body and a feast for the senses, offering breathtaking panoramas all the way.
